Adapter setup

  1. Plug a compatible ELM327 OBD2 adapter into the vehicle while parked.
  2. Turn the ignition on.
  3. Open Axlyne, connect the adapter, then run a scan.

iPhone requires Bluetooth LE or Wi-Fi adapters. Android supports Bluetooth LE, Classic Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi. Adapter quality varies.

Troubleshooting

If a scan fails, reseat the adapter, restart the car, reconnect Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, and try again. A physical scan reads a valid 17-character VIN from live Mode 09. If the vehicle profile has no VIN, Axlyne saves that live VIN; if a VIN is already saved, it must match. Supported live gauges require that VIN-bound scan and the current connection.

Drive and HUD

After a VIN-bound scan, Drive and HUD can show supported read-only Mode 01 values for the current vehicle, adapter, and connection. Values are not saved in scans or reports. The demo adapter remains labeled and simulated. On iOS 26 or later, Axlyne’s small iOS status widget can appear in the CarPlay Dashboard in supported vehicles. A read-only Android Auto status app is included in the Google Play closed-testing candidate for review; availability depends on Google approval. Car displays show saved adapter and verified diagnostic status only. Scanning, live gauges, purchases, and vehicle controls stay in the phone app. Open Axlyne on your phone only while parked.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google. You can cancel, renew, or restore purchases through the app store account that bought Axlyne Pro.
